While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Palestinian Presidency: U.S. visa denial undermines international law and UN obligations

RAMALLAH, August 29, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Palestinian Presidency expressed deep regret and astonishment at the decision of the U.S. Department of State not to grant visas to the Palestinian delegation scheduled to participate in the upcoming United Nations General Assembly meetings in September.

The Presidency stressed that this decision stands in clear contradiction to international law and the UN Headquarters Agreement, particularly since the State of Palestine is an observer member of the United Nations.

It called on the U.S. administration to reconsider and reverse its decision, reaffirming Palestine’s full commitment to international law, UN resolutions, and obligations toward peace, as conveyed in President Mahmoud Abbas’s letters to world leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump.

'Hamas: Smotrich’s remarks an explicit admission of Israeli genocidal policy

Friday 29-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement said that Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s call to cut off water, electricity, and food supplies to the Gaza Strip constitutes an explicit admission of a policy of genocide and collective extermination in the territory.

Earlier on Thursday, Smotrich demanded a halt to water, electricity, and food access to Gaza in a new call inciting violence against its residents.

At a press conference, he said that “those who don’t die by gunfire will die of hunger,” and suggested that Gaza’s population problem would be solved if voluntary emigration was allowed.

He also insisted that no deals should be accepted as long as Hamas remains capable of resurfacing.

In its evening statement on Thursday, Hamas said these remarks represent a public call to continue the Israeli army’s crimes in Gaza until the annihilation and displacement of the Palestinian people.

It added that these comments are an official acknowledgment of using starvation and siege as weapons against innocent civilians, acts that constitute war crimes under the Geneva Conventions and the Rome Statute.

'Hamas viewed Smotrich’s remarks as an explicit admission of a forced displacement and ethnic cleansing project against the Palestinian people and concrete evidence warranting condemnation of the Israeli occupation before the International Criminal Court (ICC) and International Court of Justice (ICJ), indicating a genocidal intent among the Israeli fascist leadership.

'Hamas emphasized that what Smotrich said is not an isolated extremist opinion but a declared governmental policy in effect for nearly 23 months, through food and medicine blockade, targeting aid centers, infrastructure destruction, and forced relocation efforts.

The Movement concluded by affirming that these statements expose the true face of the Israeli occupation before the world and confirm that Gaza is not a military zone but a project of mass extermination and forced displacement, necessitating urgent international intervention and accountability for Israeli leaders.

UN warns of Israel’s Gaza occupation plan

Friday 29-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has warned of “the devastating consequences of expanding Israeli military operations in Gaza City, forcing hundreds of thousands of exhausted and traumatized civilians to flee once again.”

Speaking to reporters outside the UN Security Council chamber on Thursday before participating in a council session, Guterres said, “Civilians in Gaza are once again facing another deadly escalation.”

He added that “the initial steps taken by Israel toward full military control over Gaza City indicate a new and dangerous phase.”

Guterres emphasized that “the levels of death and destruction in Gaza are without parallel in recent times.”

He stressed the importance of not using starvation as a weapon of war and called for the protection of civilians and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid.

“There is no room for more excuses, no more obstructions, and no more lies,” Guterres said.

He addressed the repeated Israeli bombings, including the recent attack on Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza that killed 21 Palestinians, including five journalists, saying, “One attack after another, killing civilians, among them medical workers and journalists doing their essential jobs, all this happens before the eyes of the world.”

The UN chief noted that “these attacks are part of an endless record of atrocities” and stressed the urgent need for accountability.

UNRWA: Military escalation in Gaza driving toward catastrophe, new virus emerging

Friday 29-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that the intensification of the Israeli military operation in Gaza City will expose nearly one million people to new forced displacement.

In a press statement on Friday, UNRWA stressed that any further escalation, alongside the existing famine in Gaza, will deepen suffering and push more people toward catastrophe.

Earlier on Thursday, UNRWA reported that the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza and evacuation orders are forcing entire families to abandon their homes once again amid fear and destruction.

On Wednesday, members of the UN Security Council, with the exception of the United States, issued a joint statement calling for an immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, a significant increase in aid across the Strip, and for Israel to immediately and unconditionally lift all restrictions on the delivery of humanitarian assistance.

They also called on Israel to immediately reverse its decision to seize control of Gaza City.

In a related development, the Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, Mu'hammed Abu Salmiya, warned on Thursday of a new virus beginning to spread within the Strip.

Abu Salmiya explained in a press statement that the symptoms of the virus include fever, joint pain, nasal discharge, coughing accompanied by bouts of diarrhea lasting more than a week.

He said, “We do not have the tests to determine the cause of the virus.”

Abu Salmiya added that the spread of the virus is due to weakened immunity caused by malnutrition, in addition to the lack of clean water, the absence of hygiene supplies, and the overcrowding of people in tents.

He confirmed that the new virus is adding further pressure on the exhausted healthcare system, stressing that ending the genocidal war on Gaza would put an end to all these consequences.

PPS: 55 Palestinian journalists detained in Israeli prisons

Friday 29-August-2025

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said on Thursday that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continue to escalate their campaign of arrests against Palestinian journalists, with the number of those detained now reaching 55.

Among the detainees are 50 journalists who have been arrested since the start of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, including one female journalist.

In its statement, the PPS noted that since October 7, 2023, Israel has pursued an unprecedented policy of targeting media workers with arrests and harassment. A total of 197 journalists have been detained or briefly held since the start of the genocide, the latest being journalist Usaid Ammarneh, who was arrested Wednesday night.

The human rights group stressed that Israel’s systematic targeting of journalists is aimed at silencing voices reporting on its crimes, tightening control over media coverage, and stripping journalists of their right to freedom of expression and to practice their profession. This, it added, comes alongside the direct killings of journalists in Gaza under ongoing IOF aggression.

Most detained journalists are charged with so-called “incitement” on social media or in their reporting, while others are held under administrative detention based on undisclosed “secret files.”

Inside Israeli prisons and detention camps, detained journalists face the same abuses as other Palestinian prisoners: systematic torture, beatings, starvation, medical neglect, humiliation, and degrading treatment, in addition to harsh and inhumane detention conditions.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital issues urgent appeal for electricity generator to save thousands of patients

Friday 29-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital launched on Friday an urgent appeal for the provision of a power generator to help save the lives of thousands of patients and wounded individuals affected by the ongoing Israeli aggression.

As the central medical facility serving hundreds of thousands of residents in central Gaza, the hospital is facing a dire and dangerous crisis due to a severe lack of electricity, which is threatening the lives of patients and the injured.

In the emergency appeal, the hospital explained that its main generators have suffered repeated malfunctions due to constant pressure and harsh operating conditions. Only two generators remain in operation, one medium-capacity and the other small, neither of which meets the minimum requirements to keep critical departments running, such as operating rooms, intensive care units, and neonatal incubators.

The hospital confirmed its immediate readiness to purchase any available generator with a capacity of around 400 KVA or more to ensure continuous electricity flow and the uninterrupted provision of life-saving medical services.

A heartfelt call was issued to the Palestinian people, as well as to international, humanitarian, and civil society organizations, and to anyone who possesses or can provide a generator that meets these specifications, to contact the hospital urgently, out of commitment to the right of patients to treatment and our shared duty to save lives.

“Saving innocent lives and ensuring access to healthcare is a humanitarian and moral obligation,” the hospital statement concluded.

Gaza death toll reaches 63,025 since onset of Israeli aggression in October 2023 - Medical sources

GAZA, August 29, 2025 (WAFA, PIC) -

The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 63,025, the majority of whom were women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. At least 159,490 others have also been injured.

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that since Israel broke its ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18, 2025, at least 11,178 civilians have been killed and 47,449 others have been injured.

The Ministry stated that 59 bodies, including two bodies that were recovered from under rubble, and 224 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza during the past 24 hours.

The Ministry indicated that, over the past 24 hours, 23 civilians have been killed and more than 182 others have been injured while attempting to receive humanitarian aid. This brings the total number of aid seekers killed in aid-related attacks to 2,203, with at least 16,228 others wounded.

The Ministry told WAFA that hospitals in the Gaza Strip continue to report daily deaths caused by starvation and malnutrition, the majority of them children, amid the ongoing ban on the entry of food, medicine, and fuel needed to keep health facilities operational.

On day 693: Israel escalates its genocidal war in Gaza

Friday 29-August-2025

Gaza, (PIC)

On its 693rd day, Israel has escalated its genocidal war against the Gaza Strip, relentlessly carried out via air and artillery strikes, resulting in the deaths of starving, displaced civilians. Supported politically and militarily by the US, and amid unprecedented international silence and abandonment, this assault endures.

The PIC correspondents reported on Friday that Israeli forces have launched dozens more strikes, committing fresh massacres as the suffering of over two million displaced people escalates amid crushing famine.

Latest developments

Medical sources in Gaza’s hospitals confirmed the deaths of 30 civilians by Israeli gunfire since early morning, many shot near aid distribution points in the north and south.

Israeli aircraft killed 3 farmers near Abu Sultan fields in Deir al-Balah.

One person was killed and others were injured while waiting for aid near Netzarim; they were taken to Al-Awda Hospital in Al-Nuseirat.

The child Rimas Nabil Abu Sunayma (13) was killed when Israeli forces fired at displaced families’ tents in Bir 19, southeast of Khan Yunis.

A strike on Al-Nimr family’s home in Tal Al-Hawa killed 5 and injured several.

Al-Awda Hospital received 2 more deaths and multiple injured persons from a shelling in Al-Bureij camp.

So far this morning, 14 Palestinians have been killed across Gaza by Israeli fire.

Heavy gunfire targeted aid-seekers around Netzarim, north of Al-Nuseirat camp.

A drone strike hit Al-Mawasi area in western Khan Yunis.

The Israeli forces also used explosive drones in Jabalia Al-Nuzla and Al-Zarqa in northern Gaza.

Continuous artillery fire continued to target Al-Shujaira in Gaza City.

Drones dropped bombs near Abu Iskandar in northern Gaza.

A quadcopter drone opened fire in Al-Rayis, Al-Sabra, southern Gaza City.

Loud explosions rocked Al-Zaytoun and Al-Sabra eastern Gaza neighborhoods amid intensified attacks and building demolitions.

Artillery shelling hit Jabalia Al-Nazla and the Old Town in northern Gaza.

Al-Awda Hospital in Al-Nuseirat reported 4 casualties, including a child, from airstrikes near Al-Bureij’s Papa Mall.

On Thursday evening, two civilians were killed in a strike on tents near the Sharia Court in Mawasi, Khan Yunis.

Four other civilians were killed near Abu Asi Station at the entrance to Al-Bureij camp.

Later Thursday, 5 people were killed when Israeli troops fired near Halima Al-Saadiya School in Jabalia Al-Nazla.

Two more were killed and another was injured in a strike on a residential apartment near Al-Azhar junction in Gaza City’s west.

Drones struck Al-Sabra, and an airstrike hit a home in central Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza.

Genocide escalates

This ongoing genocide in Gaza is backed fully by the US, leaving a horrifying toll: according to the Gaza Health Ministry, 62,966 killed, 159,266 injured, over 10,000 missing, with many deaths due to starvation. More than two million Palestinians live in forced displacement amid total devastation.

Israel has made children primary targets, killing over 19,000, with 18,000 admitted to hospitals, and 14,500 women also killed, revealing the disproportionate impact on vulnerable groups.

Since the breakdown of the ceasefire on 18 March 2025, the toll includes 11,121 deaths and 47,225 injuries.

After May 27, when aid distribution points were turned into killing fields, 2,180 died, 16,064 were injured, and 45 remain missing, while “The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” an Israeli-American entity, enforced a system of subjugation under the cover of “humanitarian work.”

Hunger and malnutrition have killed 317, including 121 children. Among the casualties are 1,590 medical staff, 123 civil defense personnel, 245 journalists, and 754 aid police officers.

Over 15,000 massacres have been recorded, wiping out 14,000+ families, with 2,500 completely erased from civil records.

According to governmental and UN sources, more than 88% of Gaza’s buildings have been destroyed, costing over $62 billion. Occupation forces now control 77% of Gaza Strip.

The devastation includes destruction of 149 schools and universities (126 partially), 828 mosques (167 partially), and 19 cemeteries.

Five starve to death under Israeli-made famine in Gaza

GAZA, August 29, 2025 (WAFA) –

Five civilians on Friday starved to death due to the Israeli-made famine in the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

They said that five civilians, including two children, died of starvation during the past 24 hours owing to Israel’s deliberate strategy of starvation that has pushed the Strip towards famine, bringing the total number of the victims of malnutrition and famine to 322, including 121 children.

They added that since famine was officially declared in Gaza by the Integrated Food Phase Classification (IPC) on August 22, 44 civilians, including six children, died from starvation.

The IPC released a report on the morning of Friday, August 22, revealing that famine was taking place in Gaza City and surrounding towns. It applied the classification to an area home to 514,000 displaced Palestinians - nearly quarter of Gaza's population.

"After 22 months of relentless conflict, over half a million people in the Gaza Strip are facing catastrophic conditions, characterised by starvation, destitution and death," the IPC said.

"Another 1.07 million people (54 percent) are in Emergency (IPC Phase 4), and 396,000 people (20 percent) are in Crisis (IPC Phase 3)."

It added that famine would expand to the areas of Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, and Khan Younis to the south by the end of September based on current projections.

That would bring the number of people experiencing famine in Gaza to 641,000 people.

In that same timeframe, it projects that the number of people in the "emergency" phase four category would rise from 1.07m to 1.14m.

"The famine declared today in Gaza Governorate by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification is the direct result of actions taken by the Israeli government," Volker Turk, the UN human rights chief said.

"It is a war crime to use starvation as a method of warfare, and the resulting deaths may also amount to the war crime of wilful killing."

Gaza Health Ministry: Israeli starvation causes death of 8 GBS patients

Friday 29-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Thursday that systematic Israeli starvation policies have led to the death of eight patients suffering from Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS).

Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, Director-General of the Ministry, explained that “amid the famine declared by the United Nations, cases of GBS have significantly increased in recent weeks. Dozens of patients now rely on ventilators to stay alive.”

“Eight deaths from GBS have been recorded, representing 10.6% of known cases in the Gaza Strip. The remaining patients face the risk of dying slowly and silently,” he said.

“Contaminated water, lack of food, and malnutrition caused by Israel’s starvation policy, in addition to the absence of essential treatments like intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) and plasmapheresis, have led to worsening cases. Many now require artificial respiration to survive.”

Guillain-Barré Syndrome is a rare disease that typically begins with weakness in the lower limbs and can progress to affect the central nervous system, including the nerves responsible for breathing.

These developments come as part of an ongoing Israeli starvation campaign and widespread malnutrition among Gaza’s children, which is weakening immune systems and increasing vulnerability to rare diseases, unfolding under what is widely seen as an active genocide against Palestinians.

“In Gaza, disease no longer chooses its victims, this land has become a fertile ground for suffering,” Dr. Al-Bursh lamented.

“Contaminated water, scarce food, and malnutrition have become invisible enemies, preceding the missiles and quietly claiming lives.”

He issued an urgent humanitarian appeal, “Saving the lives of these patients cannot be achieved with statements alone, it requires the immediate entry of life-saving treatment and prevention of more deaths to be added to the growing toll of famine and bombing.”

Gaza’s hospitals are facing severe shortages of medicine and medical supplies, with near-total collapse of diagnostic and treatment capacities.

Since March 2, Israel has closed all border crossings into Gaza, blocking the entry of humanitarian aid, effectively plunging the territory into famine. This, despite the fact that hundreds of aid trucks are stalled at the borders, Israel only allows in a small trickle, far below the minimum needs of the population.

On Wednesday, the Gaza Health Ministry announced that 313 Palestinians, including 119 children, have died from starvation-related causes since October 7, 2023.

According to the Gaza Government Media Office on Tuesday, only 2,654 aid trucks entered Gaza in the past 30 days, out of the 18,000 trucks that should have arrived during that period, highlighting the catastrophic shortfall.

Israeli occupation forces conducted separate raids into the occupied West Bank on Friday night, storming the town of Beit Liqya and the city of Al-Bireh, according to local sources.

In Beit Liqya, west of Ramallah, confrontations erupted following the military raid. Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canisters at youths who tried to confront the incursion, leading to confrontations; however, no injuries or detentions were reported.

Meanwhile, in Al-Bireh, Israeli military vehicles and foot patrols stormed the city from the illegal settlement of Psagot, amid the firing of live ammunition. No confrontations were reported.

Illegal Israeli settlers storm Palestinian community in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, Aug 29, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers on Friday stormed the Samra hamlet in the northern Jordan Valley, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that several colonists raided the community, moving provocatively among residents’ tents and spreading fear and panic among children, women, and the elderly.

The hamlet endures daily attacks and incursions by armed colonists, carrying out provocative acts against the defenseless Palestinian citizens.

Samra is one of several Palestinian communities scattered across the northern Jordan Valley. Its residents depend on grazing their livestock in nearby pastures that colonists have long since closed off.

Illegal Israeli settlers attack Bedouin community near Nablus

NABLUS, August 29, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers on Friday attacked a Bedouin community in the Duma village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to security sources.

They said that colonists assaulted one of the inhabitants of the community, smashing his mobile phone, and vandalized other property.

The settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

The settler violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.

Illegal Israeli settlers set up new outpost near Nablus, attack water wells east of Ramallah

Friday 29-August-2025

NABLUS, (PIC)

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers carried out two new assaults in the occupied West Bank on Friday, establishing an illegal outpost near Nablus and vandalizing vital water infrastructure east of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that a group of settlers stormed Palestinian-owned land east of Beit Dajan, southeast of Nablus, and erected tents to serve as the nucleus of a new settlement outpost.

'Hasan Mleihat, head of the Bedouin rights organization Al-Baydar, confirmed that settlers brought equipment to the site, signaling preparations for a long-term presence.

The targeted land connects geographically with the Jordan Valley, an area settlers seek to seize as part of a broader colonization plan aimed at displacing Palestinians and undermining regional stability.

Meanwhile, settlers raided the Ain Samia water wells east of Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah, overnight Thursday. According to the Jerusalem Water Authority, the settlers damaged property at the main pumping station, slashed vehicle tires, smashed windows, and destroyed surveillance cameras.

The authority noted that its technical crews had only recently restored operations at Well No. 2 after previous settler attacks had forced it offline. It warned that the repeated assaults endanger the sole water source for more than 19 Palestinian communities in the area.

“These attacks on water infrastructure represent a grave crime that threatens the right of tens of thousands of residents to safe and regular access to water,” the authority said, urging immediate intervention from human rights and international institutions to halt the violations.

The dual incidents reflect the ongoing escalation of settler violence across the West Bank, carried out under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, as part of efforts to expand settlements and push Palestinians off their land.

IOAR compels a Palestinian Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) to self-demolish his home in El-'Eisawiya

Friday 29-August-2025

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime (IOAR) compelled a Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) citizen to carry out the demolition of his own home in the town of El-'Eisawiya, located in the northeast of Jerusalem, on Thursday evening.

According to Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate, the IOAR forced citizen Mu'hammed Oada to demolish his house under duress, citing the pretext of unlicensed construction.

The IOAR routinely orders Palestinians to self-demolish their homes, especially in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), under the claim of lacking permits. Those who refuse face the destruction of their homes by Israeli bulldozers and are burdened with exorbitant fines.

The Israeli-run municipality in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) routinely denies Palestinians building permits, instead demolishing their homes or coercing them into doing so. These actions violate international law and humanitarian principles that guarantee the right to housing. They form part of a systematic policy aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians from Jerusalem to expand Jewish-only settlements in and around the holy city.

Israeli occupation forces force Palestinians to close stores in Sebastia

NABLUS, August 29, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces on Friday forced Palestinians to close their stores in the Sebastia town, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to a local official.

Mayor of Sebastia, Mohammad Azem, said that the occupying forces coerced Palestinian merchants to close their stores in the town, which has recently become the target of frequent Israeli military raids with soldiers ransacking houses and assaulting inhabitants.

Located 11 kilometers to the northwest of Nablus, Sebastia is a small historical town located on a hill with panoramic views across the West Bank and has a population of some 3,000 Palestinians.

A prominent settlement during the Iron Age as well as the Hellenistic and Roman eras, the town embraces a Roman amphitheater, temples, a Byzantine and a crusader churches, dedicated to Saint John the Forerunner, who baptized Jesus Christ in the Jordan River, besides to a mosque built in honor of the saint. Christians and Muslims believe the town to be the burial place of the saint.

Israel has been attempting to take over the town, which has become a site of heated cultural conflict, preventing the Palestinian Authority from conducting restoration works at the site, prohibiting providing tourist services to visitors from around the world, and stealing antiquities from it.

Palestinians complain that Israeli colonists have repeatedly attacked the town and fenced parts of its antiquities, where they hold religious rituals.

Twelve dunums of the archaeological area is located within (B) areas, which are controlled by Israeli military and Palestinian administrative authority, while the other part of the area lies within (C) areas, which falls under complete Israeli administrative and military control.

Owners of restaurants and hotels complain about the Israeli acts in the town which have caused them severe damages and losses.

Israel uses the Jewish nationalist name “Judea and Samaria” to refer to the occupied West Bank to reinforce its bogus claims to the territory and to give them a veneer of historical and religious legitimacy.

There are approximately 1 million Israeli colonists living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.

Massive protests in Yemen, Morocco demanding end to genocide and starvation in Gaza

Saturday 30-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Tens of thousands of demonstrators in Yemen and Morocco took to the streets on Friday demanding an end to the genocide and starvation policies targeting more than two million Palestinians trapped in the Gaza Strip.

In Yemen, huge crowds gathered after Friday prayer in Sab'een Square, San'a, as part of a mass rally under the banner “With Gaza: Struggle and steadfastness in anger over spilled blood and desecrated holy sites.”

Protesters in the Yemeni capital called for an immediate halt to the genocide, the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and a response to Israeli airstrikes on Sana’a.

The rally’s organizing committee said in a statement that the demonstrations were a popular response to “the aggression that struck Sana’a” and part of Yemen’s continued public support for Gaza.

Sana’a had come under Israeli strikes a day earlier, which Israeli officials claimed targeted Houthi leaders, a claim the group denied.

According to Yemeni media, thousands more joined demonstrations across other provinces, including Sa'da, Hajjah, 'Amran, Mahwit, Marib, Hodeidah, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, and Dhale.

In Taiz, thousands of both Houthi supporters and government loyalists held separate rallies, demanding an end to the genocide and systematic starvation, and calling for urgent delivery of humanitarian and medical aid to Gaza.

In Morocco, thousands also rallied after Friday prayer in multiple cities, calling for an end to the mass killing of Palestinians and demanding immediate aid access for those besieged and starving in Gaza.

The demonstrations, organized by the Moroccan Commission in Support of Ummah Causes, took place in Tangier, Tetouan, Chefchaouen, Casablanca, El Jadida, Inzegane, Taroudant, Agadir, Berkane, and Oujda. These rallies have been ongoing for 91 consecutive weeks under the slogan, “If they seek your help in faith, you must help them.”

Participants carried banners reading “Stop the genocide in Gaza” and “Palestine is a trust,” while chanting slogans such as “A Moroccan salute to proud Gaza” and “From Morocco to Palestine: one people, not two.”

Protesters also held up images depicting the famine devastating Gaza’s besieged population.

Mass protest in Stockholm in solidarity with Palestinian people in Gaza

STOCKHOLM, Aug. 29, 2025 (WAFA) –

A mass protest was held today in Stockholm in solidarity with the Palestinian people in the war-torn Gaza Strip and in condemnation of the Israeli occupation’s ongoing crimes against them.

The demonstration took place in central Stockholm, drawing participation from several Swedish political parties and organizations, alongside members of parliament and other prominent political figures.

Speakers at the protest stressed that supporting the Palestinian people is both a humanitarian and legal responsibility, describing what is happening in the Gaza Strip as a fully-fledged genocide.

They warned that the deliberate starvation and forced displacement of civilians constitute grave war crimes, and urged the Swedish government and the international community to take urgent action to press for an immediate ceasefire and to guarantee the unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance.

While main European countries still provide the Israeli occupation apartheid regime with weapon and support, Foreign Ministers of  Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Slovenia, and Spain condemn Israel's new aggression in Gaza and colonial settlement expansion in West Bank

RAMALLAH, August 29, 2025 (WAFA) –

While main European countries (UK, France, Italy, and Germany) still provide the Israeli occupation apartheid regime with weapon and support, the foreign ministers of Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Slovenia, and Spain strongly condemned the latest Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip and the announcement to establish a permanent presence in Gaza City.

The joint statement reiterated that the intensification of military operations endangers the lives of hostages and will lead to the intolerable killing of innocent Palestinian civilians, including women, children, and the elderly. The ministers denounced the forced displacement of Palestinians, stressing that it constitutes a flagrant violation of international law.

The statement affirmed that the systematic destruction of essential civilian infrastructure, including sites serving as refuges for highly vulnerable displaced civilians, is unacceptable. It urged the Israeli government to immediately reconsider its decision and cease military operations.

The foreign ministers expressed horror at the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification’s (IPC) confirmation of famine in the Gaza Governorate and its projected spread to surrounding areas in the coming weeks. They called on Israel to uphold its humanitarian obligations as required under international law.

Emphasizing the urgency, they called for UN agencies and NGOs to be allowed full access to operate on the ground to alleviate the humanitarian catastrophe.

The ministers voiced deep concern over the expansion of colonial settlement construction in the West Bank, stressing its illegality under international law and calling on Israel to reverse this decision.

They further expressed alarm at the actions of violent colonists, which were carried out with impunity.

The statement stressed that ongoing military operations in both Gaza and the West Bank represent a serious obstacle to implementing the two-state solution, which remains the only path toward lasting peace.

The joint statement underscored that the international community will not remain silent in the face of human rights violations and will continue working intensively for peace.

They reiterated their call for the immediate release of all hostages and the swift, unimpeded, large-scale entry of humanitarian aid into and throughout Gaza.

Palestine calls for arms embargo against Israel

GENEVA, August 29, 2025 (WAFA) –

The State of Palestine on Friday called for imposing an embargo on arms supplies to Israel.

Speaking during the Eleventh Conference of States Parties (CSP11) to the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) in Geneva, the Palestinian delegation, headed by Palestine’s ambassador to the United Nations, Ibrahim Khraishi, called on all States Parties to the ATT to immediately impose a comprehensive embargo on arms transfers to Israel and halt cooperation with Israeli colonies in the occupied territory.

The delegation also called the State Parties to the ATT to bring an end of the Israeli occupation based on the July 2024 International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) advisory opinion, which found that Israel's decades-long occupation of the Palestinian territory was "unlawful", and that its "near-complete separation" of people in the occupied West Bank breached international laws concerning "racial segregation" and "apartheid."

During its intervention, the delegation stressed the grave consequences of exporting arms to the Israeli occupation, along with ensuing war crimes and the crime of genocide committed against the Palestinian people.

It highlighted the violations by the Israeli occupation of the provisions of the ATT, particularly the provisions on the diversion of the transfer of arms to an armed group, namely, armed Israeli colonists.

It added that the Israeli occupation authorities were pursuing systematic policies designed to arm Israeli colonists, who intimidate, murder, and displace defenseless Palestinian civilians and vandalize their property.

It concluded that supplying arms to Israel not only contributes to the consolidation of the apartheid system and racial discrimination against the Palestinian people, but also to the crimes of torture and sexual abuse against Palestinians, including women and children.

'Hamas slams Bahrain for accepting credentials of Israeli envoy while genocide rages in Gaza

Friday 29-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement criticized Bahrain on Friday for receiving a new Israeli ambassador while Israel continues its genocide in Gaza and threatens Arab national security.

Basim Na'eem, a senior Hamas official, said, “At a time when countries around the world are expelling Israeli ambassadors over the occupation’s crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing, we see ‘sisterly’ Arab states, like Bahrain, warmly welcoming new envoys of the entity, approving their credentials as if everything was normal.”

Na'eem argued that this move contradicts the resolutions of the recent Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit, which urged collective action to suspend Israel’s membership in the United Nations. “If not for the sake of Gaza and Palestine,” he added, “then at least as a rejection of the occupation’s declared threats to the joint Arab national security.”

Bahrain formally received the credentials of Shmuel Revel, Israel’s newly appointed ambassador, after the departure of his predecessor about a month into Israel’s war on Gaza that began on October 7, 2023.

According to Bahrain’s state news agency (BNA), Foreign Minister Abdul Lateef Al-Zayani accepted a copy of Revel’s credentials during a meeting at the ministry headquarters on Wednesday.

Revel became Israel’s second ambassador to Bahrain since the two sides normalized relations in 2020.

Bahrain has not clarified the current status of its envoy to Israel, Khalid Al-Jalahma, who returned home after Israel’s war on Gaza erupted.

Bahrain signed a normalization deal with Israel in September 2020, appointing Jalahma as its first ambassador to Tel Aviv in August 2021, while Israel appointed Eitan Na’eh as its first ambassador in Manama in December 2021.

On November 2, 2023, Bahrain’s parliament announced that the Israeli ambassador had left Manama, the Bahraini envoy was recalled from Israel, and economic ties with Israel were suspended.

Norway calls for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

Friday 29-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Norway’s Minister of International Development, Asmund Aukrust said that the situation in the Gaza Strip is worsening day by day.

In a press statement on Friday, Aukrust said what’s happening in Gaza is a violation of international law, and he called for an immediate ceasefire in the region.

He also stressed that food, water, and medicine are being used as weapons in Gaza in breach of international law, adding, “We continue to pressure for the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.”

Aukrust went on to say, “We must do everything we can to support the Palestinian people in Gaza,” expressing Norway’s readiness to lead efforts for a two-state solution.

He concluded by emphasizing, “We cannot leave Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank alone.”

Meanwhile, Malaysia reiterated its call on the international community to suspend Israel’s membership in the United Nations and to impose sanctions against it.

Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan said in a press release that Malaysia had raised this issue at the UN General Assembly last year and would renew its call in the upcoming session.

“The time has come to suspend Israel’s membership in the United Nations, and all states must impose sanctions,” Hasan said.

He affirmed that such sanctions would restrict the flow of weapons to Israel.

Hasan also noted that the international community has clearly called for Israel to be stopped from implementing its plan to occupy and destroy the Gaza Strip.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
